Located just a short distance from Burnham Overy Staithe, Burnham Market has an extensive selection of shops, galleries, restaurants and a number of holiday cottages available for rental. Burnham Market is host to the annual Burnham Market International Horse Trials. This event attracts a large and loyal following, so arrive early and be prepared for above average traffic in the Burnham area during the horse trials. The event includes trade stands, antiques fairs and children's entertainment and is a great day out for visitors. 

One of Norfolk's most famous residents, Stephen Fry had his office as "Peter Kingdom" in the TV drama series "Kingdom" in Burnham Market. The series used a number of other nearby villages including Brancaster and Castle Acre for locations and used holiday cottages in Burnham Market itself to accommodate many of the film crew. Burnham Market is close to Holkham with plenty of holiday cottages near to Holkham beach, Wells-next-the-Sea, Brancaster and other villages along the north Norfolk coast and is sometimes known locally as "Chelsea on Sea". Home to some of the largest motor vehicles and most interesting characters in Norfolk this little town is well worth a visit.
