Established back in 1994, Heritage Open Days has since developed into England’s largest community heritage festival. The festival celebrates Europe’s diverse cultural resources and the importance of not only appreciating these, but stewarding their future. The purpose of the Heritage Open Days is to open the doors for the public to visit historic buildings and areas which usually would not be open to visitors.
Every September, Heritage Open Days are run, celebrating diversity in Norfolk, England and Europe and the intercultural links between these. Year on year Heritage Open Days continues to expand, with more events being offered - with today at over 300 events in Norfolk and 5000 across the UK.
It’s your chance to join in celebrating the history and culture of the beautiful county of Norfolk - with all of the experiences being FREE to enjoy.
