Pimpernel Cottage in Blakeney
Blakeney, Norfolk
Description
Newly renovated,Pimpernel has an open plan downstairs kitchen, dining and lounge. A Beautiful authentic fireplace with log burner and electric radiator.
Norfolk winder stairs lead up to 2 bedrooms and the shower room.
All tastefully decorated in Farrow & Ball colours. Up to 3 well behaved dogs welcome. Pimpernel is the third of our trio of beautiful bijou boltholes in Blakeney, this little cottage is my "dog friendly” one. A log burner to lay in-front of after those brisk walks along the coastal trail thawing out on the sofa with your best friends enjoying a mug or glass of something... seems the most perfect thing to do.
The kitchen is well stocked, there's a dishwasher, microwave, hob, elec oven and fridge with freezer box.2 seater Leather sofa and chair, dining table and 3 chairs with hard flooring (which is not slippery) throughout. The upstairs is spacious with no low ceilings, with both a single and double bedroom, hanging space in room 2 with drawers in both bedrooms. We also have a newly fitted shower cubicle and basin.
Pimpernel does have a Norfolk winder staircase, not ideal for everyone! We have upgraded the safety of the staircase and now has rails both sides. There's outside seating in the courtyard. Folks coffee and The Kings Arms are opposite us, just a stone's throw away.
Sleeping Arrangements
One double bedroom. One single bedroom.
Outside Property
Communal courtyard. Seating outside. The Courtyard is shared with 3 other cottages, 2 of the other properties are second homes and rarely used . So it is not overly busy.
High walls all round 5ft. See white entry gates on picture. Approx 90 cm tall.
Pimpernel doesn't have parking but Westgate street does have a few handy parking bays for loading opposite - if they're full the Village Hall car park is free and just 100 metres away! Never park on the quay, it’s tempting but high tides and your car won’t mix .
Surrounding Area
Blakeney. Well known for seal trips, crabbing, the quay, the point and coastal trail . Popular with birders and alike. Quaint coastal village where I grew up. Has changed but still very unspoilt.
