On entering the cottage from the generous entrance porch, you are welcomed in a wonderful open plan living space, cleverly arranged with a cosy sitting room area, separate dining space and well equipped modern fitted kitchen. The whole space is bright and sunny with light flooding in from windows on three sides and there is a wood burning stove in front of the comfy corner sofa to curl up in front of in the cooler months. The cottage style dining table and four chairs sits between windows looking out to the utterly picturesque thatched church beyond and the kitchen is arranged to the rear of the central chimney stack. The modern fitted kitchen is a great size and well equipped for keen cooks to create tasty treats. There is a freestanding electric oven with hob, fridge freezer, dishwasher and washer dryer.
Upstairs there are two double bedrooms and a family bathroom, arranged off the landing. Both bedrooms have windows looking out the front or side of the cottage and have bedside tables with lamps and storage for clothes. The extremely smart bathroom has floor to ceiling natural stone tiling, a full size bath with mains pressure shower over, WC and basin with vanity unit.

Approached from the quiet road, along the driveway shared the three other church cottages, there is parking for one car adjacent to the garden fence.
The lovely private garden is through a gate, just a few steps from the front door of the cottage. This delightful green space is a peaceful refuge from the hustle and bustle of day to day living. There are spaces to enjoy the sunshine, dine al fresco or find a shady spot to relax with a book.
Surrounding Area
Hempstead is a small village situated 2½ miles southeast of Holt and 11 miles west of Cromer. Holt's fine 18th century Georgian buildings make the town one of the most attractive in north Norfolk. The town is home to many art galleries, antique and book shops and places to eat located along the high street and tucked away in hidden, charming courtyards and alleyways. Bakers and Larners department store and Byfords are two landmark establishments in the town. There is also a hospital, doctors surgery and supermarket. Holt Country Park is a favoured place to go walking and is set in 100 acres of mixed woodland. It is a Green Flag award winner and is open all year round for the public to enjoy. There's also a cute cafe onsite and dogs are welcome!
