Wells is a town with a good selection of shops (supermarket, baker, butcher, fruit & Veg. etc.) as well as pubs & restaurants; the quay (crabbing and the fishing boats ) train to beach in season and numerous other shops.

There is a wide variety of walks both inland and along the coast, notably the beach/ pinewoods and the Holkham Estate.
