Description
Elgin Cottage is a cosy, Grade II listed, three story house in the beautiful town of Wells-next-the-Sea. Located on the historic high street, the cottage is just moments from the shops, cafes, pubs and restaurants, 450 yards from the bustling harbour and within walking distance of the beach. Perfect for a family holiday or a get together with friends it provides the perfect base to explore this stunning area of North Norfolk. The cottage is furnished to a high standard. It is on 3 floors, has 2 bedrooms and a lounge/diner and kitchen. We also have a cot for babies.
Please note that access to the second bedroom is via a staircase from the master bedroom.
The cottage has satellite TV, wifi, dishwasher, microwave, oven and hob and washing machine, spin drier, high chair and cot.

One double bedroom and one with two single beds.
Outside Property
There is a small courtyard with table and chairs. Parking is not off-street but usually spaces can be found in The Buttlands behind the cottage or in nearby streets. We have never had a guest who has not been able to park nearby. There are also two short stay parking bays opposite the cottage and these can be used for loading/unloading from your car.
Surrounding Area
Wells is a wonderful place to stay. Its long sweeping beach bordered by pine woodland is stunning and within easy reach of the town, which has independent shops, pubs and restaurants. The harbour is the heart of the town with its small fishing boats and families fishing for crabs. It also the perfect base to explore the stunning North Norfolk coast, a beautiful stretch of coastline studded with well known communities such as Blakeney, Brancaster, the Burnhams, Old Hunstanton and Cley. The area has enormous sandy beaches, is a birdwatchers dream, a walkers paradise and great for sailing and horse riding. Behind the dunes are beautiful pine forests stretching for miles. It is an ideal location for families, with plenty of places to visit and things to do - from crabbing on the historic quay to seal spotting boat tours.
